My skills as far as being a caregiver consist of caring for my mother for over 5 years. She was diagnosed with Alzheimer's/Dementia and also was physically impaired being confined to a wheelchair. Therefore, my duties in caring for her consisted of cooking, medication administration, transportation, helped dressing, helped with hygiene, and companionship. The reason why I'm involved in the field of caregiving is because I really enjoy being around elderly individuals and helping them navigate through the many challenges they may face when aging.

She is a very joyous and lighthearted person that makes you want to have the best day you can and I think in care-giving this is a standout characteristic that is difficult to find in this field.
