My first experience in working with the Senior population was caring for my mother in 2014. She had Dementia and that experience made me realize that my calling was to work with Seniors. Since then I have worked for Senior Helpers and In Home Supportive Services through San Mateo County I have worked with seniors who have Dementia and would provide Companionship, taking them to Doctors Appointments accompany them to the Grocery Store, preparing meals massaging clients as needed, laundry, vacuum, medication reminders and stand by shower assistance. I am also registered with the state of California, I have been finger printed and my TB is current. For me, not working with Seniors is a day without sunshine.

Helen has been hired to care for my husband 6 mornings a week. She goes to my husband's memory care facility and keeps him company, makes sure he has been changed and clean. She gets help to get him changed and she walks with him to make sure he doesn't fall. She reports back to me about his food and medicine intake and his care.
