About Helena

My experience with the older generation has always been through social instances. My favorite was back in high school. A couple of my friends and I had volunteered at a nursing home where we played games, did puzzles, and read with the residence for a couple of hours. I've helped family members around the house and in moving situations. Growing up with a grandfather who was diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease, as well as a mother who worked in assisted living, there was a lot of natural teaching by experience, example, or learning through her experiences on how to handle with care and react appropriately.
