About Helena

To Whom It May Concern: It is my pleasure to provide this letter of recommendation for Helena as she seeks continued employment as a home health aide. Helena was the primary caregiver for my mother for the past five years. Helena managed all aspects of my mother's care through her battle with Alzheimer's. Helena's responsibilities began with managing daily visits to the local senior center, food shopping and preparation, healthcare oversight and companionship. As my mother's Alzheimer's progressed, Helena's responsibilities evolved to provide more hands-on support including but not limited to feeding, dressing, and bathing my mother, as well as administering her medications. She did this in addition to ordering groceries, preparing meals, housekeeping and getting my mother to her frequent doctor appointments. Helena's care and compassion for my mother made it possible for us to keep her in her own home for many years, which was her desire, until the disease progressed to a point where it was no longer possible. Helena is a spiritual person of high integrity. She truly became a part of our family.
