About Helaina

Hi! I'm a 24-year-old who studied acting at the University of Hartford for the past four years, and I'm now heading back to school to pursue a degree in psychology with the goal of becoming an art therapist. My background in theater helps me connect with kids through creativity, imagination, and play-I'm professionally trained in make-believe and love sharing that fun with children! I sing, make music, paint, and more. I often bring my own art supplies and plan activities to help nurture each child's creative spirit. I'm very sensitive to a child's emotional needs and always check in to make sure they feel safe, seen, and are having fun. I'm also punctual, organized, and love creating mini schedules or documenting our activities together. I enjoy taking cute photos and sharing updates with parents throughout the day. Since 2022, I've worked as a summer nanny and have truly loved every moment caring for kids and helping them thrive.
