About Heidi

I have raised 3 daughters and had a 12 year career as an SLP with youngsters and adults with a broad range of diagnoses. Probably 75% of the adult populations (outpatient, inpatient and nursing home settings) had swallowing disorders. After retirement I began to offer childcare and cared for twin girls from the age of approximately 7 months until after their 4th birthdays when they began full-time preschool. What a joy! I also cared for a young woman with Rett Syndrome which involved toileting, showering, dressing, transporting to appointments, occupational therapy program, applying splints, feeding, hydration via feeding tube and other tasks as needed. I find fulfillment in caregiving roles, am loving, easy going, patient and creatively fun. I'm not prone to panic in urgent situations. And... if I do take care of your kiddos... they will probably get dirty!!!
