About Heidi

I am a certified teacher for grades K-8 with over 25 years of experience teaching and working as a literacy coach in an area school district. I have a Masters degree in education with a specialization in teaching reading and especially enjoy working with children who are struggling with reading or who want to improve reading comprehension. Tutoring available. I tutored for a number of years early in my career and before having children of my own. I worked with middle school students on reading comprehension in content area reading for a few years as part of an after school club, but have decided to use my talents again now that my children are mostly grown. In my spare time, I like to read! One thing you should know about me is I am reliable and hard working and have dedicated my life to meeting students' needs.
