Hi I'm Heidi, glad you stopped by my profile! So I provide in-home senior care with all of your loved one's needs in mind: emotional, physical, mental. I have been working with seniors since I was a teenager; I've also worked within the Developmentally Disabled population, including seniors with Down's Syndrome and Autism. Most recently, I provided end-of-life care for 3 years to a family in whom I still keep in touch. For this gentleman, I would be responsible and responsive to every need he had, included but not limited to: Showering/Changing, cooking, running errands, taking to appointments, med. management. In general, we became friends and our days had a flow to them, including a daily walk in the wheelchair. First Aid/AED/CPR certified. Able to play piano if you have one and you or your loved one would enjoy music added to their day!

Heidi cares for my mom, who has dementia, 2-3 days a week. Heidi engages my mom in meditation, a series of exercises, music (Heidi plays the piano!) and a craft every visit. She makes lunch for my mom and will happily make dinner for my family. If my mom dozes off, Heidi immediately starts cleaning or cooking! She is a self-starter and is always looking for new ways to engage my mom in activities. Heidi is upbeat and energetic with a winning personality. In 2 months she has endeared herself to my mom, myself and my husband. My level of anxiety is reduced as I am able to leave the house without worrying about my mom. Heidi is compassionate, dependable and trustworthy. I would highly recommend her to any family for senior care.
