About Heidi

I am a sole parent of a spectacular daughter and a caregiver for my father. I cared for my grandmother for many years until she passed at 101! I also cared for my mom who recently died after a struggle with vascular dementia. I learned the most about myself through the experience with my mom. I also have spent many years caring for and loving animals. Specifically farm animals. I love horses and actually most any breathing creature. My daughter and I have a horse and 7 cats but we care for entire herds and it's amazing. I never saw myself as a caregiver until I ended up being one and I found that my deep compassion and curiosity gave me the ability to be very present and loving. I will be grateful forever for the chance to be there and care for the ones I love. I had the opportunity to make my grandmother's dream of skydiving come true, and we went together for her 90th birthday--a forever memory for me.
