I have developed and implemented programs for children on the autism spectrum as a special educator/case manager for four years. I am passionate about working with children on the spectrum who are non-verbal and helping them communicate with others; for not being able to speak does not mean you have nothing to say. I have used picture exchange communication, augmentative communication devices. I have used schedule boards, sensory-motor-integration, ABA and developed behavior plans which used positive approaches to behavior management. I have also designed and implemented programs for children who are medically fragile. I enjoying helping these children develop ways to communicate and enjoy experiences in the community.
