About Heather

Years ago I adopted my dog because he looked like an extra from the movie Gremlins. Truly he is the critter if critters, so we call him Critter. Within a week of bringing him home, Critter had bitten all of us. Within a month he also bit our dog walker, drawing blood, so he got grounded by the city of Fort Collins. Two weeks later a guy from the animal department came by to release Critter from his punishment, and Critter came very close to biting that guy. It was a whole thing. A long and painstaking journey. So I've been through it. I learned about highly leash-reactive dogs, resource guarding, clicker training, harnesses, treats, and patience. I also have extensive experience fostering rescue puppies as a volunteer for Until They're Home. Also, cats! I've had a cat in my life more often than not, and I think that cats think that I'm pretty cool. So if you need any help with pet care, please reach out.
