About Heather

Unlocking a student's unique potential through personalized support is the cornerstone of my teaching philosophy. With six years of experience, I specialize in helping elementary and middle school students master English, science, and foreign language concepts. I create an engaging, patient environment by breaking complex problems into manageable steps and connecting new material to your child's personal interests. I assess individual learning styles by observing how students interact with new topics and maintaining open communication about what methods work best. I believe consistent positive reinforcement and celebrating small successes are key to building confidence. By keeping parents informed through regular updates, I foster a collaborative environment built on trust. Seeing a student's confidence grow as they master new skills is the most rewarding part of my work. I look forward to building a supportive rapport with your family to make learning an enjoyable journey.
