About Heather

I have extensive experience working with younger children in both formal and informal learning settings. My approach is hands-on, interactive, and tailored to each child's learning style, combining visual aids, games, and real-world examples to make math engaging and accessible. In addition to tutoring, I have experience working in classrooms and after-school programs where I supported literacy and numeracy development, guided small group activities, and helped children develop social-emotional skills alongside academics. I understand the developmental stages of early learners and create a supportive environment that encourages curiosity, exploration, and a love of learning. I am passionate about making learning fun, relatable, and achievable for every child, and I work closely with families to ensure progress and confidence in their child's learning journey.
