About Heather

Hello, I'm Heather. I'm a recent college graduate with 2 degrees. I studies graphic design as well as communication studies, but my real passion is caring for others. I spent most of my preteen/teenage years watching my cousins. At 14 my sister was born, and for 5 years, I helped raise her. I also nannied for about 2 years, right out of high school for a family who followed Montessori principles. Because my cousin has Schizophrenia and my sister has Autism Spectrum Disorder, I am familiar with special needs. I see myself as being a very patient and down to earth individual when it comes to caring for children. I took the CPR course about a year ago, so it is still valid. And I intend to renew it every 2 years. I also have a 2-year-old son who is the absolute light of my life. My whole world revolves around taking care of someone else; it's simply how I thrive. I love cooking and cleaning and I'm happiest when I know that everything that means to be done is done in an orderly fashion.
