About Heather

All I ever wanted to be was a mom so when I entered college I chose nursing. I graduated in 1995 with my associate's degree and in 1996 with my bachelor's degree. I married and moved to Augusta, GA where I worked at a burn center. When my husband graduated, we moved to Asheville where I worked in mental health with children before working a few years at an allergy office. In 2000, we had our daughter and three years later had our son. I gave up my career outside the home to raise them until they were school age. I began working in my husband's office assisting him with marketing and management. My husband sold his practice in 2023. For the past few years I've been working to figure out my next adventure. I joked recently with a friend that I really just wanted to be a "rent-a-grandma" which lead me here to Care. com. I'm a vegetarian, vaccinated, and Healthcare BLS certified for children and infants. I look forward to meeting your family and discovering if we're the right fit!
