Heather applied to a position we had posted and seemed very eager after a phone interview. We felt like she'd be a great fit so we had her to our home to meet our family. During that time she seemed extremely excited about the position, interacted well with our children, and we discussed details related to the position (which she said worked well for her). The implication when she left was clearly that we were both interested in moving forward. I sent her a text the following day to solidify details and start date but she never responded. I then called and messaged with no response. We feel it was extremely unprofessional to go that far in an interview process and simply stop responding. We completely understand if the position wasn't a good fit or circumstances changed, but we would have appreciated some communication so we could continue our search. Writing this to warn that you may waste a lot of time with this candidate.
