About Heather

I'd describe my personality as positive, patient, playful, and adventurous. I'm looking for a job that allows for fun and exploration. Kids learn through play and curiosity and I want to be able to foster that. I'd enjoy a family that prioritizes learning and communication and enjoys the outdoors. Children are smart and curious and want to learn about the world. I will do my best to always foster that curiosity and answer their questions appropriately. I started working with kids when I taught ESL in Taiwan in 2017. I spent 2 years teaching kids age 3-18+ in group and individual settings. I went on to become a rock climbing instructor for 5 years, teaching kids age 4-18+. I led kids classes and summer camps. I'm now a private tutor and babysitter. In my spare time, I like to create art, sew, draw, paint. I like to get outside, hiking, climbing, surfing. I like to read and play video games. I like to clean and organize my home.
