About Heather

I'm a Master's level pre-licensure Psychotherapist with over 15 years of experience working in mental health, social services, residential, PCA, nanny/babysitter, etc. with children, adolescents, and adults with various disabilities and mental health diagnoses. While I am not offering therapy services in this role, my knowledge and skills naturally come through as a caregiver. I took a sabbatical from the mental health field because of professional burnout. I intend on returning to the field in private practice in the future, but would like to perform meaningful work in a non-clinical caregiving role in the meantime. I've always loved working with kids, especially babies. I started babysitting at age 11 and nannied for a family through middle and high school. I still babysit for family and friends. Seniors are also a favorite group to work with because I appreciate their wisdom, candor, and unique perspective on life.
