About Heather

Helping children build confidence and discover that learning can be fun is one of my greatest passions. With a Master's degree in Education and more than 20 years of experience teaching, tutoring, and leading youth programs, I've worked with children of all ages and learning styles. Every child learns differently, so I tailor my approach using hands-on activities, games, visual examples, or simply a new way of explaining things. My goal is to make learning engaging, enjoyable, and confidence-building. I'm also available for occasional babysitting, after-school care, homework help, and educational activities. Parents describe me as patient, dependable, and encouraging. Whether we're reading, exploring outdoors, creating crafts, or tackling a tough homework assignment, I strive to create a safe, positive environment where children feel supported, curious, and proud of their progress.
