About Heather

Empowering students to reach their full potential is at the heart of my teaching practice. With three years of experience supporting elementary and middle school students in English, Science, and Study Skills, I prioritize building confidence over rote memorization. I assess your child's unique learning style through active observation and open communication, ensuring our sessions remain tailored to their specific needs. When concepts become challenging, I break them into manageable steps to build momentum and foster critical thinking. I believe clear, consistent communication with families is essential for tracking progress and setting expectations. Seeing a student's confidence soar as they master a new skill is the most rewarding part of my work. I hold a college degree and am available to tutor at your home, the library, or online. I look forward to partnering with your family to inspire a lifelong love of learning.
