Over 20 years teaching elementary students with special needs, such as ASD, speech/language Impairments, specific learning disabilities, ADHD, emotional disturbances, and intellectual disabilities. My specialty is ASD and I have worked as an Autism Consultant for a school district. I also worked in a private clinic for a little while and completed my field work requirements to become a Registered Behavior Technician en route to obtaining my BCBA. I missed the classroom too much, however, and went back into teaching. Now that my daughter is in middle school, I decided to leave the rigors of public education and obtain work with more flexibility to allow me to be more available for her. I am well versed in all IEP matters, having been a case manager the entire time I taught. I am an advocate for families, and at extra cost am willing to partake in IEP matters, as navigating the system can be overwhelming and confusing for families. I am also fun, empathetic, and very, knowledgeable.
