About Heather

I began babysitting when I was just a mere 12 years old. I babysat for families in my neighborhood in southern WV throughout my teen years. I received my degree in psychology from WVU in 1993. I worked as a nanny for two families in the Morgantown area in the late 90's prior to starting a family of my own. I had my first child in 2000, my second in 2003, and my third in 2005. Since the birth of my first child I have been a full time mom. As my youngest child is now on the brink of turning 16, I find that I am needed less in their daily caregiving. This has left me with a void. I am looking to help care for newborns and other young children. I am only interested in part time work since I do still have responsibilities to my own children. I love cats and dogs. We actually have 4 dogs and 2 cats in our household. Yikes!! I'm a lover for an animal needing a home. I would love to have an opportunity to share my nurturing nature with other children and pets.

Heather is a fantastic caregiver and we were very fortunate to have found her. She has over 20 years of experience raising her own wonderful kids and caring for others. With that experience and a psychology degree as well, she is a treasure chest of wisdom. She is very innovative. One of her major strengths is coming up with interactive fun developmental games for your kids. She is always teaching my wife and me new tricks and has a knack for coming up with fun exercises for our little one with simple things like cardboard boxes and plastic spoons. Heather, though, will never impose her will on the parents. She is more than willing to share what she knows when asked, but she is also extremely comfortable following along exactly what the parents want. She cares deeply about the kids she works with and it is important for her to develop real relationships with the kids she is taking care of. Heather is punctual and dependable. She never cancels! Hire her if she is available!
