About Heather

Hi, I'm Heather. I am kind, patient and compassionate. I have been caring for people since I was a child. I helped my grandparents often and more recently I cared for my father who had dementia. A few years ago I cared for an older woman who needed help with medications, transportation, preparing meals and for companionship. I am CPR and first aid certified. I have a graduate degree in education and have taught young children and adults who wanted to be teachers. I also have a bachelor's degree in applied health sciences and nutrition so I'm knowledgeable on preventing disease, special diets, supplements and vitamin therapy. I know how to create a calm, peaceful atmosphere where people can thrive and be happy to be alive. I am a great listener and communicator. I treat people with respect and honor. I am interested in full time and live-in situations as well. I have glowing references. I am don't have children or pets. I love dogs, though and I'm great with them.
