I am a certified elementary teacher with a MA in teaching. I have 14 years of successful tutoring experience. I help students get caught up in reading, math, and writing. I've also homeschooled a number of students in these subjects and more. I use games, high-interest activities, and carefully planned lessons to help students become successful and confident. I work with students from pre-K through 8th grade.

I offer lessons in person or online.

We are incredibly grateful for the impact Heather has had on on our son’s growth and confidence. From the very beginning, she showed patience, professionalism, and a genuine passion for helping him succeed.

We’ve seen tremendous improvement not only in his academic performance, but also in his attitude toward learning. He’s more confident, more focused, and actually enjoys the process now, which speaks volumes.

She takes the time to make sure he truly understands the material, not just memorize it, and that has made all the difference. Her ability to connect with him and tailor her approach to his needs has been a game changer for our family.

We highly recommend her to any parent looking for someone who is committed, knowledgeable, and truly cares about their student’s success.

We have had an amazing experience getting reading and spelling help for out son!

Heather is an exceptional teacher. She is able to work with a wide range of ages and abilities. Heather has helped three of our children in multiple subjects. They look forward to their time with her and her style of learning.

Heather is very punctual, dependable, completely prepared and responds to any communication timely. She gets to know her students personal interests so that her lesson plans are not only developed to target the specific skill/need but she incorporates subjects that are of the greatest interest to the student making learning enjoyable.
She periodically provides me with reviews and updates of the progress and status of our goals.
We are so glad that we found her, she is wonderful.

Outstanding to work with Heather has work well with our son as well as communication with us as parents. She's assisting our son with on-line private schooling has kept it stress free and ensured he's learning not just marking off the boxes!

Heather is a wonderful tutor. She has helped my daughter grow in both reading and math. I have also noticed an increase in confidence in my daughter since starting lessons with Heather. Improvements in so many ways! She makes learning fun and my daughter loves her. I would highly recommend Heather!

Heather has been excellent with my children.. She is very creative, organized and engaging with my children. They look forward to their days with her and are excited to learn something new. She's been a excellent addition to our learning journey! I would highly recommend her to other parents..

Heather home-schooled my boys for the 2020-2021 school year and she was a fantastic fit. She made sure they got all of the instruction they needed and filled in gaps when she felt they were missing something, Heather will continue to work with them through the summer. She is timely, organized and a great communicator. My boys love her.

Heather has been tutoring my daughter in math for the last few years. I can't say enough about the transformation we have seen during this time. Math time used to bring tears and frustration, but now she has the confidence, the background, and the help she needs to be her best student, and she generally seems to enjoy her time in tutoring. She is getting an A in 7th-grade math.

Heather has offered reading a math help to our two boys and has helped them make tremendous strides! She is fun and funny, my kids love her!

Heather has done a great job tutoring my son in reading. She is patient and has done wonders with his reading.

One of the most wonderful people in our lives. She has made so much progress with our Beckham it is hard to remember how far we have come! They simply connect.

Heather is excellent, and I highly recommend her services for tutoring and helping your child. My son looked forward to her each week, and she made a real positive difference. Top notch.

We have hired Heather for two of our children throughout the past couple years. She does wonderful work with the kids and they love coming to lessons. Kind, respectful, punctual and fun! There are not enough good words to describe her skills. Our math and reading grades have improved immensely with Heathers tutoring.

Heather did such a great job with my daughter. She went from being behind in school to back up to grade level. She is a sweet person and is great with kids. I have recommended her to friends and they too were very happy.

Heather tutored both of my children and the results were wonderful. In addition to improving the skills on which she was tutoring them, both children are more confident in all their academic endeavors. The two kids are quite different from each other but she really knew how to connect with each of them and both were always eager for their lessons. I would absolutely hire Heather again and encourage all others to do the same.

Heather has been tutoring my 8-year old daughter in reading and math for over 2 years now. She came to us highly recommended by a fellow parent in our elementary school. We have been beyond pleased with her relationship with our daughter. Our child has multiple delays in academics and speech. Heather has been not only extremely patient, but she has customized her lessons to fit our daughter's needs. She is not afraid to change her plans to suit how our daughter will best learn at that time. She often revisits those original plans or lessons when she feels our daughter is ready for them. She also challenges our daughter when she feels it will best benefit her. She keeps our daughter engaged by learning through games and different activities, and she does movement breaks if needed. She is always on time for lessons and is very prompt about getting back to me if I have a question. Our daughter has made great progress under her wing, and we would highly recommend her!

She has been tutoring my fourth grader in math. She has greatly improved and does not need special help at school anymore because of Heather!
