About Heather

I am a 19-year-old college student who has been babysitting for five years. When I was 10, my little brother with down syndrome was born. I quickly learned to be patient and caring with children, and was always babysitting him and his friends as I entered my teen years. I started getting paid to babysit when I was 14 and going into high school. I've babysat for three families regularly, and also have worked at my church's child care co-op when my brother started going there. I love kids because I love people, and I want to be an English teacher one day and help kids that struggle with reading. In my time babysitting, I've traveled with families and watched their children, I've done overnight babysitting, and I have always kept my kids safe from harm. Babysitting someone's children is an absolute privilege, and I would like to babysit to put myself through college, which I attend on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Friday mornings.
