About Heather

Hello! I'm Heather, a mom of two daughters in high school and middle school, and I live in the Jackson area. I've always loved working with children and helping them feel safe, supported, and encouraged. My experience began in high school through Future Teachers of America, including student-teaching in kindergarten and first grade. I also studied Child Development and volunteered at a local daycare through the CTC. I attended SEMO for two years studying Early Childhood Education before pursuing a career in the medical field. After staying home with my daughters during COVID, I spent three years with SEMO-NASV's Green Bear Program, teaching child abuse prevention in local schools. I also volunteer with Big Brothers Big Sisters. I'm dependable, patient, and attentive, with childcare references available as well as previous employer at Green Bear. As a mom, I understand how important it is to trust the person caring for your children. I'd love to get to know your family!
