Experience: 3 yrs
Making a difference in the lives of adults and seniors is my calling. My three years of experience as a Certified Home Health Aide have solidified my passion for supporting well-being and independence. I'm patient, compassionate, and detail-oriented. I understand the importance of connecting with care recipients by learning their preferences and personal history. I'm skilled in adapting to changing routines and handling confusion or agitation, with CPR and First Aid Training. I provide live-in care, personal care, light housekeeping, meal preparation, dementia care, mobility assistance, and support for physical activity. I communicate with families through daily reports and verbal updates, always following their preferred method. Knowing I can bring comfort and peace of mind to your family truly warms my heart.
Hayes joined our family as a caregiver at a very difficult time, and her grace, patience, and skill were nothing short of a godsend. My dad, who suffers from vascular dementia, had recently been placed on hospice and was rapidly declining. We were already assisting my mom with his care when she fell ill and was unexpectedly diagnosed with Stage IV cancer. During that time, my dad became fully wheelchair bound and bowel and urinary incontinent, and their combined care needs were suddenly beyond what we were able to manage on our own. Hayes brought a soothing presence into the midst of this upheaval. Her knowledge of dementia and the progression of the disease, along with her unshakeable good nature and calm, helped us navigate the personality changes my dad was experiencing, which often made even simple tasks a challenge. Her long experience in caregiving meant she was able to work independently and manage all assigned care tasks from the moment she started working for us. She handled transfers to and from the wheelchair confidently and cared for my dad’s personal needs in a way that maintained his dignity, even on days when he was uncooperative due to the dementia. Our home was different from most caregiving situations, as my parents lived with us and our household included teens, a five-year-old, and pets. While Hayes did not have responsibility for the children or animals, she was comfortable working in the midst of a busy family home. Her help and support were irreplaceable during a time when we were overwhelmed, and they allowed me to focus on my mom’s treatments, surgeries, and care, knowing my dad was in good hands. I would wholeheartedly recommend Hayes to anyone looking for a caregiver for their loved one. I truly believe you would be hard-pressed to find someone better.
