About Hawi

We hired Hawi to care for our son-in-law who has Huntington’s Disease. Huntington’s is a progressive, hereditary brain disorder that causes uncontrolled movements, cognitive, and mental decline. It takes a special kind of caregiver to care for these patients and Hawi is certainly one of them. We could not have asked for a better caregiver. She is extremely kind, calm and caring. She treated our son-in-law with gentleness, compassion and respect. She was also a great companion to him and was always willing to work her schedule so she could be available to him. Our son-in-law has difficulty communicating, but Hawi found a way to communicate with him. She gave us comfort knowing he was taken care of but, more importantly, she gave our son-in-law comfort being with him. Unfortunately, we had to move our son-in-law to a full-time nursing facility, so we no longer needed Hawi’s services. She still reaches out to him via text, and they communicate back and forth.
