About Haru

Hi! I'm an experienced childcare worker seeking a part time job while attending grad school. I'm looking for a job with an employer who is mutually respectful, proactive & open in communication, and honest in feedback. I was a public middle school science teacher and track coach for three years, have extensive experience as a camp counselor and after school educator for youth aged 5-17, and have babysat kids on and off since 2015. I have my drivers license, am trained in restorative justice practices, and am CPR certified. I also have experience working with youth who are on the spectrum/are neurodivergent & am neurodivergent myself. I am comfortable facilitating creative, engaging, and kind spaces for kids to play and feel safe expressing themselves. I love science, sports, dance, art, writing, language learning, being outside, etc. & love connecting with youth both about things that I am knowledgeable about or know nothing about at all.
