About Hannah

I like tutoring because I love the idea of helping people grow. I loved learning in school but learning shouldn't just happen in a school classroom between 8 and 3. I love showing students that learning can be fun and is the basis for everything we do. I started tutoring when I was in high school helping other students. I tutored a bit in college working with students on sports scholarships. In graduate school I worked in their writing center tutoring students one-on-one. Last year I tutored a 1st grader in reading. In my spare time, I like to read and write. I constantly have a book with me. I also like to learn about different topics. I can also be found watching TV, crocheting, playing with my dog, and (trying to) jog. My skills include working with anything ELA related: reading, writing, etc. I can work with math up through Algebra 2 (not geometry, sorry). I also work on basic study skills that are compatible with numerous subjects.
