My teaching philosophy centers on building confidence and cultivating a genuine love for learning, emphasizing critical thinking and problem-solving skills. I adapt my teaching methods by listening to and observing how students engage with new material, using visual aids, hands-on activities, discussions, and practice problems. I keep students motivated by connecting challenging topics to their interests, celebrating successes, and encouraging curiosity. Communication is key. Regular updates help parents stay informed and reinforce learning at home. The most rewarding aspect of tutoring is witnessing a student's "aha!" moment and seeing their confidence blossom. I have a college degree and one year of experience. I'm comfortable tutoring elementary school students in math, English, science, and music & drama. I have CPR training and First Aid certifications.
