About Hana

I am an Art teacher on the beautiful island of Kauai. I look forward to supporting family in my community. One motto that is a philosophy I strive for; "invite the child into your calm from the moment you enter the room - your presence and the environment in which you create around them, can uplift the child-their growing mind and healthy spirit!" I am studying education + child development in UH university system. I am comfortable enforcing household rules & feel that the parent's methods of care is my priority to best give the child structure. Though my favorite is creative crafts and enriching read-aloud, I truly enjoy the importance that outdoor play and critical thinking games can have. I'm very passionate about nature-based outdoor learning, as this island has so much to offer in that department. I believe harnessing, uplifting and amplifying what unique potential a child already possesses is crucial to their wellbeing. I look forward to helping your family!
