About Hallee

Hi! My name is Hallee and I've been working with kids for 2 1/2 years! I started substituting teaching in 2024 for a longterm assignment in an art class and absolutely fell in love with it! I transitioned into working at an afterschool care program--primarily focused on supporting students with their homework and tutoring to help students test into gifted programs. I was able to help a handful of my students get into gifted programs on the south side! My favorite parts about working with kids is getting to support growth academically, socially, or creatively! Being able to see kids understand or have curiosity about things that are new to them is one of the most fulfilling parts of care. I describe myself as a bubbly, open-minded, and creative person. My teaching and care style can be goofy at times, but always prioritizes safety and positivity. I am an artist in my free time, so I'm in search of a little flexibility in a more personalized care role! Hope to connect soon!
