About Halia

A little bit about myself, I am a college student at UMass Amherst studying Marketing and Sport Management. I served as captain in varsity ice hockey and varsity tennis. I'm very athletic and go to the gym every other day. I also have a reliable car and a clean record for 3+ years. I've done an immense amount of volunteering my senior year of high school where I worked with kids at Beaman Elementary School and the Talbot Rink as an assistant coach. Finally, I tutored freshman as a member of the National Honors Society. One of my passions is working with kids and animals. I have conducted events for 20+ 3rd graders as the vice president of the National Art Honors Society. I have also dog sat for some family friends of mine. Even though I wasn't able to own a dog or cat myself as I grew up, I was able to care for a bearded dragon (a breed of lizard) for 8 years. Some values that I ensure I apply in my day to day life is responsibility, compassion, and respect. I'm also fluent in Spanish.
