I have been caring for children since I was about 12 years old. I have experience babysitting for infants through to preteens. I have experience volunteering in Kindergarten through fifth grade classrooms during high school and college. In December 2013, I graduated from the University of Maine with a degree in Elementary Education and a Math concentration. I am now a licensed Teacher for grades K-8. Since graduating, I worked as a substitute teacher and as a long-term substitute in a Kindergarten classroom. I am now a 1st grade teacher. I am also a private babysitter at a resort, so I have had a number of experiences babysitting with new families for just a night or two, which has made me very flexible in adjusting to new situations. Currently, I am interested in date night or weekend babysitting.

Haley babysat for our 1 year old daughter during a wedding reception. She arrived at the venue early, and my daughter took to her instantly. (Usually she needs at least a couple minutes to warm up to new people.) The details of the timing of the day were a little up in the air, but Haley was very patient while we figured out what was going on. I would recommend her to anyone looking for a babysitter in the area.
