It seems a scheme may be in place. Haley came over to meet my family, planned on working twice a week for my Mom. 2 days prior to starting I "accidentally" received a text to someone else asking for rent money (due the day prior to the start date). 1 day prior to starting, texted her child had an urgent dental visit, but was going to start the day after we'd planned. On the new start day, never showed, never answered text (never "read" as all others were) and my call went directly to voice mail.
