About Haley

Hi! My name is Haley, and I'm currently pursuing a Masters in Counseling Psychology degree, with a focus on children and families, here at KU. I have over 5 years of hands-on childcare experience, and a deep passion for supporting children's, emotional, social and behavioral development. My background includes working in a variety of settings, such as a daycare, a Montessori school with kindergartners, and currently I'm at the Boys and Girls club of Lawrence where I work with children in grades K-5. Throughout my career I've prioritized, creating warm, safe and engaging environments that allow children to feel heard and respected. I bring a strong foundation of empathy and understanding from my counseling training, and I balance that with a consistent, structured approach that encourages healthy routines and positive behavior. I strive to meet each child where they are developmentally and emotionally, and I'd love the opportunity to support your family by providing dependable care!
