About Haley

Hi! I am a recent graduate from the University of Connecticut. I am offering tutoring in science, reading, writing, grammar, and essay editing. While I do not have formal tutoring experience yet, I do have experience working with and teaching children of several ages through babysitting, volunteer work, and working as an assistant preschool teacher, and I am confident in my knowledge of these subjects. On the ACT, I scored a 35 on Reading and a 36 on the English/Grammar section, and I have continued to develop strong writing and editing skills through extensive college coursework in both science and the humanities. As a recent graduate with a B. S. in Physiology and Neurobiology, I also have extensive knowledge on many science subjects -- surely any subjects from elementary to high school level! My approach is patient, encouraging, and adaptable to each student's learning style.
