I worked as a Certified Behavior Technician for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder for over a year. This included the following: -Trained in Applied Behavior Analysis therapy and provided skill acquisition and behavior reduction services -Provided direct client care in 1:1, group, and community settings for children ages 2-15 diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder - Recorded and summarized targeted behavior data, charted client progress, engaged in effective communication with the clinical team and client families. I participated in Best Buddies - a club promoting the wellness and inclusion of peers with intellectual disabilities, for three years. For the past year, I have been working as a Counselor in an adult care facility for adults with severe mental illnesses. These experiences have developed my maturity, communication, and ability to aid a vast range of symptoms and needs.
