While growing up, my mother ran an in home daycare for over 10 years. I started free lance babysitting at about 15 years old for family and friends, and I also worked as the assistant director of children's ministries at my church for a year and a half. Through a high school work program, I was able to work at a local preschool for a whole school year. I absolutely loved working there and that's how it finally clicked that child care was the career I could see myself being truly happy in.
