Hello! My name is Hailey, I use they/them pronouns and am currently looking to nanny Fridays weekly and add to my existing nanny schedule. Here's a little about me: 10 years of childcare experience. 3 years as a formal preschool teacher Trained in Reggio Emilia and RIE parenting method I am currently working on a BS of psychology at PSU, fall term starts at the end of September, but won't affect my Friday schedule. Obtaining my degree with the intention of becoming a Waldorf teacher I believe learning happens through play, indoor and outdoor. Each stage of development comes with novel challenges and beautiful breakthroughs I am an artist and love to create with kids. I have a treasure trove of arts and crafts ideas that model social emotional behaviors, build practical motor skills, and engage with creativity Growing up in a single parent household, I have a varied experience with all forms of care and am up for providing many types of help!

We have known Hailey for a few years now. Hailey started off as our daughter’s daycare teacher. Our daughter takes time to feel comfortable with others and Hailey did an awesome job getting to know our daughter and helping her open up over time. We could tell Hailey genuinely enjoyed spending time with kids and after they transitioned from their role at the daycare, we continued having them occasionally babysit our daughter. Hailey has always been awesome about communicating on their interactions with our daughter while babysitting. Hailey always has engaged positively with our daughter and does a great job keeping our kiddo occupied with activities and play while babysitting. Hailey seems to really understand how to interact with kids of all different types of personalities and is very kind and approachable. We will continue to seek Hailey out as a babysitter in the future and are very grateful for them and all the work they’ve done to make our daughter feel comfortable in their care.
