I have cared for children as an on-call sitter and a part-time summer nanny since I was a teenager. I am a speech-language pathologist and work with kids of all ages in private practice, home, and school settings. I have extensive experience with children with special needs and neurodivergence, especially Autism. My approach to child care mirrors my approach to speech-language therapy: play-based and child-led. Even when off the clock as a speech-language pathologist, I am always supporting communication skills. Hailey and I made contact remotely before I brought my son on a trip to the area. Her communication was clear and prompt, and her follow-up was reliable to the letter. She found ways to connect with my son in ways that were engaging for him. Hailey kept consistent communication going with me and was easy to work with in all circumstances. I would contact her again in similar circumstances. I might be able to rank her higher, but 4 stars seems like a really strong recommendation after a single event.
