Currently, I work as a Special Education Teaching Assistant in Albemarle County, helping elementary school kids with cognitive/developmental disabilities learn, socialize, and self-regulate. I have experience with neurodivergent kiddos from ages 5 to 17 and I am LGBTQ+ friendly. I majored in film studies with an art minor, so I am creative and quick on my feet. I'm hoping to go back to school to get my teaching license and am currently trying to learn Spanish and ASL. I am CPR/AED certified, CPI certified, Mandated Reporter trained, and Medication Aid trained. In my spare time, I like to watch movies, read books at the park (currently reading a disability studies book by Alison Kafer and Carmilla by Sheridan LeFanu), and cook at home.
