I was truly blessed the day Gwen answered the ad for a caregiver for my mom. She is honest, straightforward, gentle, caring, unflappable, generous, flexible, all the things. She has developed a bond with my mother that is deep and unshakeable. She has the ability to calm mother when she becomes agitated and redirect her with love and gentleness. She knows what Mom needs even when mom can't tell her. She fixes home made meals that has helped mom actually gain weight, and gets mom up and moving, which is not always an easy task. If Gwen is there, Mom WILL make it to church on Sunday, where everyone is as excited to see Gwen as they are Mom. She has become an integral part of our family and team. The more I have come to know Gwen, the more I respect and care for her. She is truly a treasure.
