Hi there! My first childcare experience was as a teachers assistant in a classroom at ARC Broward (Achievement and Rehabilitation Center). I spent my summer watching over children with special needs such as autism, down syndrome, and cerebral palsy. I got experience feeding, changing, and playing with these beautiful babies who were all 5 years of age or younger. My next experience was babysitting my 1-year-old cousin. I essentially lived with them for the summer and assisted whenever I was needed; shopping, feeding, changing etc. I spent another summer at the Art and Culture Center of Hollywood taking care of children aged 2-12. Since then I have worked with many families with ages ranging from newborn to 9 years old. I love caretaking because it brings me so much genuine joy!
