About Guadalupe

I currently work as a Special Education Classroom Assistant for Chicago Public Schools. I've gained child care work experience working directly in the classrooms with all students from Pre-K - 4th grade, for the past 4 years. I believe that working with children in a classroom has allowed me to grow my skills and knowledge as an educator as well as outside of a school setting. I'd describe my personality as patient, kind, & compassionate. I like working with kids because I feel a deep sense of purpose being able to be a part of their academic and social growth. Working with kids I am able to help them learn new skills, while also creating an environment that allows them to feel confident, safe, and seen. Working with kids also has given me the opportunity to have a joyful and fun filled day whether it's doing crafts or during play time. In my spare time I like to workout, read, craft and go to concerts with my friends. I love traveling and exploring new cultures!
