I have worked as a nanny for 20 years. I have had the privilege of getting to know and working with some great families. I thoroughly enjoy playing with, teaching and discovering new things with children. My experience spans from caring for newborn babies right through to teenagers. I was very fortunate in having a wonderful caregiver as a child. My hope is that the children I work with will have that same experience.

We hired Gretchen several times this year. Gretchen is wonderful with our child. She is attentive, calm and playful with our child.

Gretchen was amazing with our daughter, they were always doing fun and creative things and willing to read the same book a million times! She is incredibly patient and flexible.

Gretchen was wonderful to work with. She was prompt, had great communication and my son loved her. We fully trusted her watching our 2 children and plan for her to be our go to babysitter from now on!

Gretchen babysat our three kids and was both fabulous and flexible given it was a last-minute reservation after our orignal sitter cancelled. The kids gave her a great review as well! I'd highly recommend her. 

We were so blessed to find Gretchen when we were in a challenging situation. My husband and I both had to work out of town and therefore had very early schedules. We relied on Gretchen every morning to come at 5:30am and get our daughter ready before taking her to daycare at 7:30. Gretchen did meal prep for our daughter too, making sure she had breakfast, lunch, and snacks every day. She only ever had one day over a year that she couldn't make it because her car had broken down and she let me know the night before so I could line up alternative options. We couldn't have survived the year without her. We only stopped using her services because of job changes that relieved us of the early morning demands and she was already booked for daytime and evening.

Gretchen was with us for around 8 months. She was always punctual, our daughter loved her, and we trusted her fully. We would have loved to keep her forever, but we finally got our daughter into daycare and we wanted our daughter to socialize more with other kids. We felt like she was part of our family.

Gretchen has been working with our family for several months taking care of our infant son who is 12 weeks old (and occasionally our 3 year old son as well when he is home from daycare). She is reliable, responsible, friendly - I would HIGHLY recommend her to another family. I was nervous about hiring someone I did not know through care.com, but after speaking with Gretchen's references felt more comfortable and I am so glad that we found her. She has made my transition back to work after maternity leave much less stressful. She is very knowledgeable about both infants and children. I am happy to provide a reference over the phone as well!
