About Gretchen

You'll find me to be creative, calm, and grandmotherly. I've spent the summer as a nanny for a special needs child, so my calm has come in handy! During the 2024-25 school year, I was a substitute teacher and every day I learned something new. Caring for a child is a tremendous responsibility I take very seriously and find it very gratifying. I'm looking for a job that offers a dependable income and allows me to put years of child care to use. My son is in college and I miss feeling that little hand slip into mine. I started working with kids as a babysitter. As a parent, I was active in my son's school and have coached his activities and learned alongside him. In my spare time, I love hiking, cooking, gardening, crafting, and spending time with friends doing all of the above. I am creative through and through, and always bring adventure with me. My skills include multitasking, being patient and unflappable, and accurately calculating and dosing a diabetic child with insulin.
