About Gretchen

I have been a 4th grade teacher for 29 years. I have taught all subjects in elementary school. I also taught special education for 13 of my 29 years. I'd describe my personality as positive, cheerful, and easygoing. I like tutoring because I am naturally supportive and patient. I enjoy helping others be successful. I love making learning feel easier and more fun. I'm looking for a job that can supplemented my teaching income and keep me busy. My children are older and I have extra time on my hands. I started tutoring when I started teaching 29 years ago. In my spare time, I like to I love playing with my step grandson, going on walks, reading, and doing projects. One thing you should know about me is that I work hard to meet students where they are-making learning both effective and encouraging. My skills include English Language Arts, Science, and Math.
