My approach to childcare is to foster independence and curiosity while always making myself available to tie some shoes, apply a band aid, warm a bottle of formula and help with math homework. I have experience caring for children ages 3 weeks to 16 years. I was a red cross certified babysitter in high school for neighbors and families in New Jersey, where I grew up. I also worked as an overnight camp counselor with children ages 5-16 for three years in the Poconos. There, I taught creative writing, art, photography and rocketry and assisted with supervising swimming, along with other outdoor activities (general playtime, various sports, etc). I have a B. A. in Journalism and French from Temple University in Philadelphia, and can accommodate light tutoring or help with homework as well as support with second languages. My availability is updated semi-monthly on my Care profile, but please reach out with any specific questions-I am always happy to help with backup care.

Greta watched our 4 month old for an extended day. She was extremely thorough starting with a pre-meeting and great questions. Our child loved her and had a great time while we were out!

She is amazing. She help our baby with his physical therapy and motor skills. I highly recommend her. 

Greta nannied for us for a year - and I have nothing but positive things to say about her. She is punctual and hard-working, but she's also incredibly kind and attentive. My daughter has informed me on multiple occasions that she LOVES Miss Greta, and Miss Greta is her best friend. She navigates toddler meltdowns with grace and compassion, and always left our chaotic home in a state of peace. She's a true gem!

We had a phenomenal experience with Greta.  This was the longest I have left my son (8 hours) and I was on a work trip across the country.  We FaceTimed before hand. She sent a detailed questionnaire to get to know me and my son.  She came to my hotel and watched him.  She was wonderful with him. He adored her. She worked on building core muscles, Tummy time and other positions to help him crawl.    She worked on several other motor skills and learning activities.   I would 1000% recommend her. 

Greta is the greatest! She helped our family stay organized and provided excellent care for our five year old son.  She is a consummate professional: extremely good at communicating and highly organized and knowledgeable.

I highly recommend Greta. She is a thoughtful, kind, and capable babysitter. She is engaging and sweet with my children, and mine are a spread of ages (as young as a year old to 16 years of age). Greta has a gift for caretaking. She has learned techniques to entertain, and play, yet also to make sure the baby sleeps at nap time. I was especially impressed when she left a thank you note with stickers after hiring her the first time. On top of being considerate , she is very cautious and that is appreciated. My children ask for her by name!

We’ve hired Greta for child care several times, and she’s always been excellent with our kids! Her communication before, during,  and after her visits is reassuring, and she always takes care of our house like it was her own! I’d definitely recommend Greta!

Greta has been an excellent sitter for our 7 year old son. She is the first non-family member we've had watch our kiddo, and she patiently answered all of our questions during the interview, and even a few we hadn't thought to ask. She is very responsible, thorough, and patient (even with our rambunctious pets). Most importantly, our son had a great time with her and keeps asking when she will be back. We will definitely hire her again.

Greta did a fantastic job with our two boys who are 2 and 1. She is knowledgable, punctual, and great with communication - both with us and the kids. Will definitely use her as a sitter again!
